FAQ's
What is chair massage? Chair massage is a 20-minute massage that focuses on the back, neck and shoulders - the high tension areas. Chair massage is done on a specially designed portable massage chair. It is especially effective at producing therapeutic results in a brief period of time by concentrating on the areas of greatest tension.
How much space do you need? Only a very small space, about 6' square. Often an unused office or a small meeting room will suffice.
Do I remove my clothing? Not for chair massage. At most you may be asked to remove a suit jacket or obstructive jewlery during the massage.
Do you use oil? No. Occasionally a lotion may be applied during a hand massage. Please let the therapist know if you have sensitive skin.
What about hygiene? The chair and therapist's hands are cleaned and disinfected between each massage. Also, a fresh face-rest cover is used for each client.
I have a cold, can I still get a chair massage? Chair massage is safe for most conditions, including pregnancy, high blood pressure and other common ailments such as cold and flu. Let your therapist know if you are not feeling well, or have a communicable disease.
